Brad Callen is ready to launch his new blog network called SEO LinkVine.

As usual, I have been able to get access before the general public. As a user of several other blog networks and article submission softwares I am going to review SEOLinkVine and give you great details on how it performs compared to the others.

Official launch date is April, 27th at 12 noon EST.

I have now been using SEOLinkvine for almost two weeks so I can reveal my findings in this post…

Let me start first by explaining what a Blog Network like SEO Link Vine is, for the benefit of anyone reading this who doesn't know.

A blog network is essentially a way to syndicate your content across multiple blogs on multiple IPs. Which means that when you submit an article, with appropriately formatted anchor text links to your desired location, then once posted you would receive relevant authority backlinks from many different web property locations. This is much more powerful than having many links from a single authority article directory such as Ezine Articles since all the backlinks come from different IPs and not from a single one. If you know anything about off page SEO then you will already see the power of this. To understand more about backlinks there is a lot of authority information available and can be found by doing a simple google search.

I felt it was important to make that distinction between Blog Networks and Article Directories and now I will move on with my review of SEOLinkVine.

SEOLinkVine – The Review

Brad Callen is the driving force behind SEO LinkVine and many of you will already know, but for those that don't, he has a brother called Matt who is responsible for bringing My Article Network (MAN) to the SEO world. So immediately those of you that know MAN will be thinking SEOLinkvine is just another front end for an existing network which MAN (and also Article Marketing Automation: AMA) already share. Well this concerned me as well luckily someone had already asked the question and Brad was very quick to make it clear that this was a totally separate network. This is great news for anyone using blog networks for off page SEO as it opens up a new avenue for backlink diversification.

Essentially the functionality of SEO Link Vine is much the same as MAN and AMA however there are some extra features and functionality that make it a less over whelming experience for a first time blog network user and more intuitive for seasoned Blog Network Veteran Geeks like myself.

SEOlinkvine is a Blog Network Service and as such has two parts to it, one free and one paid. I will try and keep things simple and go through each part separately starting with the free one because we all like free services.

Get Free Content

SEO Linkvine allows you to add your own blog to the network and receive fresh and unique content. You can control the article subject that you receive and also have full control over the specific articles that you allow to be published on your blog. This is a win win situation for blog owners and publishers both, blog owners who always need fresh relevant content get what they need and publishers who need diversified backlinks get to publish their quality content across the Internet.

The process of signing up your blog for free unique content from the SEO linkvine publishers is very simple and all the instructions you need are easy to follow. The content side of this network allows publication to several platforms with more to follow.

• All WordPress blogs
• Joomla websites
• Drupal websites
• Any other website that has XML-RPC enabled

(Atom API is not currently supported but will be in future upgrades.)

It really is as simple as assigning a user and password to your blog with Admin, Author, or Editor permissions entering them in the appropriate places. Then set a few parameters to have as much or little control as you prefer and select the category of articles you wish to receive and voila you are good to go.

That's pretty much all there is to the get content part of SEO Linkvine except to mention that part of the conditions are that none of the links in any article you accept can be altered or removed, and you can not claim ownership of the articles that SEO Linkvine publishes on your blog on behalf of paying publishers.

Submit Articles And Get Links

Now for the second part of SEOlinkvine the paid service for article submission.

Simply put this is the most exciting part of SEO Link Vine if your a self confessed blog network geek like myself. I felt it was my duty to rigorously test the network so as you can see from my statistics screen shot I have submitted 65 spin ready articles since I gained access to the network 2 weeks ago. This has resulted in 2993 published articles in a little under two weeks all with 3 anchor text backlinks relevant to my online promotional activities.

As you can see basic statistics are displayed in a clear concise way so at a glance you can see the overall progress of your article submission to the SEOlinkvine network.

Obviously being a blog network geek I had to give SEO Link Vine a thorough test before I could contemplate writing this review and I think that in the short time I have been using it I have done just that.

Starting from the top I'll run through how you would submit an article and along the way I'll point out the features and how SEOlinkvine differs from MAN , AMA and most other blog network submission services like Traffic Kahuna (Web2Mayhem) or LinkVana.

As you can see it is fairly straight forward and if you have any experience of blog networks most of the interface will be familiar. There are however some subtle differences which really set SEOlinkvine ahead, from an article submission and manipulation point of view at least.

You will notice from the screenshot below that you have the option to assign your articles into projects, this is a great time saver when it comes to keeping track of your article submissions and something which is lacking in most if not all other blog network submission services. Especially useful for individuals or companies who work with clients for SEO purposes it allows you to easily track down the progress and effectiveness of your article submissions.

Naturally SEO Linkvine allows you to enter your articles in spin format, it can cope with different syntax formats as well, and as such as far as the titles go you have two options. You can either enter the title once in spin format eg {title 1|title 2} or you can use the small green "+" button to the right and create more title entry boxes and enter them individually.

When it comes to entering your article body content we find there is another difference. You can either enter your article in a spun format directly or you can use the built in spinner to create your own spin article. The spin functions in SEO Link Vine are designed for either manual manipulation or there is a built in Thesaurus with three levels of spinning namely Low, Medium and Aggressive.

Personally I prefer to use pre-spun material that I have prepared for me however this is a useful function for those starting out or on a tight budget.

Once you are done entering your article details then you are ready to submit your articles for approval and then to the network.

It's worth mentioning that SEO Linkvine allows you to have three anchor text links per article, which is fairly industry standard. The submission process is very straight forward as you will see from the screenshot below. It is merely a matter of selecting your category which with SEO Linkvine is another added benefit because you are allowed to choose multiple submission categories, most other blog networks allow you only one.

Then you can either choose to publish immediately or schedule your publication for a future date.

Then you can chose how many times it is published and how many times a request for publication is sent per day. You can also add tags and the blogs on the network that allow this will use them.

Then simply hit publish and your article is on it's way out to the SEOlinkvine network.

What happens next ?

The last section we need to look at with SEOlinkvine is the STATS, with most other blog networks you are left to your own methods to check on whether they have been posted and how well they are performing, well with SEO LinkVine this is easily the most time saving aspect. You can check the progress of your article submissions very easily and also check on the performance of your keywords relative to your target site.

It involves download a small piece of software that goes out and checks the performance of your keywords in much the same way as the firefox SEO rank checker does.

However the difference is that data points are stored within your SEOlinkvine account and this means you can follow the progress of your SEO efforts over time. If you are fanatical like me then you will be doing this everyday but for long term projects once a week should be enough.

The obvious advantages of this are for those people who operate SEO outsourcing services to provide proof of progress to their clients. Since I mentioned outsourcing it is worth mentioning that with SEOlinkvine you can assign accounts for your outsourcing team, if you use one, they would only have access to enter articles which means they don't have access to any of your personal information or statistics.

You can track three data sets namely Position, Links and Page Rank all of which are the key things any self confessed SEO addict lives and breaths. The information is displayed in an easy to see graphical format.

You will note that as yet I don't have enough data points to form a graph but this will happen over time.

My conclusions about Brad Callens SEOlinkvine

Is this just another Blog Network ?

I am sure this is the question spinning around in many peoples minds and in truth yes it is.

However during my SEOlinkvine Review I think you will agree that what Brad has done here is take the ease of use and statistical analysis to a new level and certainly setting the bar for the competition.

Will SEOlinkvine be better than other Blog networks ?

This is a somewhat subjective question because whilst it is a requirement that the network of blogs be stable and diverse the true power of any blog network, and SEOlinkvine is no exception is not in the network itself, something that even Brad himself states, it is in how you use it for your benefit.

SEOlinkvine is not a be all and end all of your marketing and promotional needs it is just a tool to aid your online marketing business, in my opinion an essential tool but then I am a self confessed Blog Network Geek.

The other advantage is this is a new network, provide more diversity, that will grow in power over time it has already been in beta for several months before the release for the general public on April 27 so it has had some time to mature and this will only improve.

As I mentioned SEOlinkvine is a tool that any dedicated SEO marketer should have in their tool box. However, as with any tool, you need to know how to get the most out of and this is where I can help.
